REACH

On June 1st, 2007, the European REACH regulation was implemented, gradually imposing obligations until 2018. REACH, which stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals, brought about a comprehensive restructuring of chemical substance control legislation in Europe.

Under REACH, manufacturers and importers of chemical substances may be required to (i) register the substances they use or import, and/or (ii) provide information to their customers regarding certain substances known as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs).

Selektro A/S is a manufacturer of electronics products and imports articles such as electronics components, cables, connectors, and printed circuit boards. However, we do not sell products with articles containing chemicals intended to be released under normal and foreseeable conditions of use. Therefore, pre-registration or registration of substances is not required in these circumstances.

We have actively sought information from our suppliers of printed circuit boards, connectors, cables, and cabinets (both within and outside the EU) to determine if any articles contain SVHCs. To date, none of our suppliers have indicated that they are subject to REACH.

In our production processes, Selektro A/S does not use chemicals on the restricted list. If customers require a statement from us regarding REACH compliance, we can confirm that we do not use substances on the restricted list according to REACH. However, it is important to separately investigate articles such as PCBs and components. We can assist customers by requesting statements from suppliers to ensure the entire supply chain is secure.

If any responses from our suppliers indicate any implications related to REACH, Selektro A/S will promptly inform you. We continuously monitor new developments and obligations concerning Annex XIV (the “Candidate list”). If any changes to the Candidate list affect our obligations under REACH, we will directly communicate with you.

CONFLICT MINERALS

Selektro A/S is dedicated to sourcing components and materials from companies that share our values regarding human rights, ethics, and environmental responsibility.

We hold our suppliers to high standards and expect them to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits human rights abuses and unethical practices. Additionally, we require suppliers to adhere to all relevant legal standards and requirements.

In line with our commitment, Selektro A/S supports efforts to end violence, human rights violations, and environmental devastation in affected regions. We are fully committed to meeting any obligations under the Conflict Minerals Rule, outlined On August 22, 2012, where the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) issued the final conflict minerals rule under Section 1502 the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Conflict Minerals Rule”). The Conflict Minerals Rule requires publicly traded companies to report annually the presence of conflict minerals (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold, or “3TG”) originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or adjoining countries (“Covered Countries”).

Furthermore, Selektro A/S is ready to assist our customers in implementing their conflict minerals programs. We strive to work collaboratively with our customers and supply chain partners to ensure compliance. All suppliers are required to submit completed conflict minerals declarations using the EICC/GeSI Conflict Minerals Reporting Template, or alternatively, provide assurance that they will implement a conflict mineral due diligence program.
