Our Development Division is highly skilled in all types of electronic product development and has a wide customer base that includes leading Danish and international industrial enterprises. Our creative environment is designed to participate as early as the idea stage to ensure that all possible solutions are considered.

Our Development Division comprises a closely-knit unit whose skills complement each other across a wide spectrum of engineering and electronics expertise. We have a good mix of young and experienced developers that brings dynamism to the development process.

Overall we have an excellent basis for and many years of experience in the development of control units and embedded electronic systems.



The functionality of a good product is considered early in the development process. Good functionality is not achieved by starting with programming, but by analysing the use of the product and basing the design on this application. Selektro does this to define the parameters and details of the project, and also to clarify the required methods and algorithms for the solution of the project. Selektro has the necessary expertise in, amongst others, signal processing, control and regulation systems.

On the basis of these analyses, a software design is prepared using tools such as State Machines and Flow Charts. This has many benefits such as:

  • A verifiable design that minimizes the risk of error. This is because tests are planned based directly on clear diagrams.
  • The option to clarify functional details early in the development process. This minimizes the overall time used and ensures that the end product satisfies the customer's expectations.

Embedded software development is carried out for:

  • Microprocessor/Microcontroller (CPU/MCU), for example from Infineon, Freescale and NXP.
  • Signal processor (DSP)
  • PLC

Implementation of software to processors (CPU/MCU/DSP) is usually performed out in C with optimisation in Assembler for the specific architecture and platform. Module-based software development is used to minimise development times and ensure quality, this because each module has been previously used.



Selektro will gladly assist in maturing a functionally correct prototype or construction sample for production. For example this may include:

  • Optimisation of diagram for enhanced component choice to make the product future-proof.
  • Optimisation of PCB layout to ensure optimum product performance in production or certification.
  • Complete PCB layout based on diagrams.



As regards hardware development, Selektro offers tailored and customer-specific solutions for, amongst other things:

We also offer layout of PCBs that have not been developed by Selektro.

Selektro uses the following development tools for hardware development:

  • Mentor Graphics PADS (Power Logic and Power PCB)
  • LTspice
  • TINA

We also have the ability to import and export data from many other tools.

In our hardware development we emphasise EMC-compliant design to ensure that the product can be certified in accordance with legal requirements in the area concerned. Furthermore, production requirements are also considered from the outset in the design process, this to ensure that the product is optimised for production.

From idea to prototype and 0 series

Selektro's Development Division is able to handle the whole development phase from idea to prototype and 0 series.

We are able:

  • to prepare the necessary specifications in partnership with the customer based on the customers ideas, or alternatively the customer can prepare the necessary specifications.
  • to carry out the required analysis and design to clarify critical parts of the project.
  • to develop the required hardware and software to match requirements for the final product and carry out validation to ensure compliance with the specified requirements.
  • to produce quick prototypes for e.g. demonstration or verification with the customer.
  • to prepare the required documentation for and commissioning of production of 0 series and subsequent production.

Objects have their own IP addresses and are always interconnected. Via the Internet (cloud) they can freely communicate with one-another. IoT has progressed from being technology driven to market driven.
